Devil Summoner: Kuzunoha Raidou vs. The Super Army

This is the first Altus game I played for the Playstation 2 . The game is the third of a series (Devil Summoner) which in turn is a spin-off of another series (Shin Megami Tensei). The first time I notice about this game is the title, it's got to be the longest name I've ever seen. It easy for me to just call it Devil Summoner.

The game sets you in the city of Teito Japan during the Meiji Restoration Era. You are suppose to be the protector of the city. You use sword, gun, and demon allies to help you on your quest. I find the game fast paced and somewhat easy. The artwork is very stylistic (East and West combo) and cool soundtrack. the game is innovative in using the demon allies for not only for fighting but also to sense people emotions, investigate hidden items and such. I recommend this for those who like action RPG.

The Begining..

Before I start post bout ATLUS, here are some basic history. ATLUS (株式会社アトラス ,Kabushiki-gaisha atorasu)was established in 1986 and currently based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. They make games for just about every gaming system created, from the old console (NES, GameBoy, and SEGA Genesis) to next generation console (Nintendo Wii and XBox 360). Unfortunately most of the games are only made for Japanese speaking consumers but for the english version, this is where the US branch comes in.

ATLUS USA Inc was founded 1991 and are responsible in 'localizing' the games into english. they also act as publisher for ATLUS and non-ATLUS games. I feel that over the years they manage to capture the essence of what the games are conveying during the translation, which is important especially for RPG games.

Simple Intro bout me

Greetings and Salutations.
My name is Mohd Hafizhu Rodzali and this is my first blog. the reason for this blog is to introduce this wonderful brand for my class assignment. ATLUS is and Japanese gaming company which developed and published games for gaming consoles. I will mostly introduce game the American branch of the company because i don't know Japanese .I choose this brand due to a couple of reasons

I'm an avid gamer since I laid my hands on a Nintendo Entertainment System(NES) which lead me to wonders of pixelated pleasure, thing will never be the same. I also owned a SEGA Genesis, Playstation 1 and 2, and XBOX 360 so i could say that I know a thing or two about games. When the assignment to choose a company, I choose something that I'm passionate about.

I'm a fan of ATLUS because they create wonderful games which some them are my all time favorites. ATLUS is not well known as compare to SquareEnix or Namco among non-gamers. Hopefully my blog will help introduce the company to a wider audience.

Bare in mind that this is my first blog and I'm not really a 'writing' kind of person, but I'll try my best. Please feel me to write any comments in improving my blog.
